L.B. First
L.B. First is a not-for-profit community group that supports town centre businesses and markets by encouraging people to shop local, and also promotes what our town has to offer to visitors. It does this in a number of ways, such as by working with the local authorities to put on events including the Christmas Festival and Independent's Day. L.B. First helps to formulate policies and strategies which they feel would boost footfall and make the town a better destination for shopping and leisure.
Membership consists of local business owners and like-minded residents, but L.B. First is always looking for more helpers and volunteers. If you have a bit of time you can spare or a certain skill that can help, then please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Buzz Community Energy
Buzz Community Energy was set up to reduce Leighton Buzzard's reliable on fossil fuels. It is a volunteer-led community project which helps people and organisations in the area access and benefit from solar power and other clean energy sources. From identifying beneficial schemes to fundraising, their goal is to create a greener, cleaner Leighton Buzzard.
